An online document printing service has compiled a list of regions in the UK where pets are most likely to go missing, following a 132% increase in requests for missing pet posters between 2017 and 2019. The company, which prints posters for owners of lost pets free-of-charge, has revealed the top 10 towns and cities where pets go missing most often, as well as a guide for owners on how to keep pets safe.
An online document print service has published a list of the locations where pets are most at risk of going missing in the United Kingdom, following a 132% increase in online requests to print missing pet posters in 2019 compared to 2017.
The digital printers, Doxdirect, offers a free poster printing service for owners of lost pets, and has analysed its internal data to reveal the top 10 towns and cities across the UK where pets are most likely to go missing.
The top five locations where pets are most at risk of going missing are:
1. Norwich
2. Birmingham
3. Manchester
4. Oxford
5. Stoke-On-Trent

Data collected by the printing service has found that September is the most common month for pets to go missing, with August and November being the 2nd and 3rd most likely.
In addition, Doxdirect has also created a guide on how to track down a missing pet, such as the best information to include on a missing pet poster, important contacts to call if you can’t find your pet and tips on increasing the likelihood of an animal returning home.
